We found the Greek Gods!

Zeus, Athena, Apollo have finally found their way into my heart by uncovering parts of Greece- Hercules, Zeus, Athena... Touring Athens and the Islands of Greece has provided an insight into the history of humanity and the workings of cultures. Only 15% of the ruins and artifacts have been unearthed on the island of Delos. We came across temples, village and stone lions on our hike to the top of the mount. Mosaics remain and remind us of the intricate artworks that were created. Carons are still being built today to help connect visitors with the fountain of civilized humans.

The Acropolis's vast story and complicated designs intrigued me to no end! Sadly some of the great relics are on display in other countries because Greece struggled with the financing of the museum and area. You can tell the original sculptures because they are of a different shade of white. Greek mythology partners with each sculpture offering tales of honor and horror at times.
